Continually Reviewing And Reflecting

It is very important to continually review and reflect upon your environment to see which areas and resources are proving productive and which need adapting. This is because children develop different interests and curiosities all the time.

It is our job as practitioners to open up a wide range of exciting experiences to encourage and inspire young children's learning. Although we have our provision set out in a way that we feel really works, we are constantly monitoring this and making enhancements to our continuous provision.

Watch the children play. Note how they use spaces and what equipment, materials and resources they prefer. If they regularly move equipment and resources to use them in a different area, make changes based on their play. For example, what emerging interests, abilities and strengths can you see, how might your environment support this further?
